Quality Carriers posts strong Q2 despite ‘challenging times’

Company president Randy Strutz reveals how targeted depot expansions, lean operations, and diversified logistics services kept the carrier moving forward in a tough market.

Key Highlights

  • Quality Carriers delivered a profitable second quarter by focusing on cost control and operational efficiency.
  • Expansion of the QDS network into major logistics hubs enhances the company's integrated transportation solutions.
  • Leadership updates include Elena Adang’s promotion to general counsel and corporate secretary, strengthening legal and compliance functions.

Quality Carriers successfully navigated a challenging freight market to deliver a profitable second quarter driven by cost management and operational efficiency, according to a recent report from company president Randy Strutz.

“I can proudly say that Quality Carriers, Inc. has remained resilient in a challenging market and had a successful second quarter,” Strutz stated in a letter to employees on Quality Carriers’ blog page. “We have made significant improvements to our operational efficiency and have continued to manage costs throughout the organization.”

A key driver of that recent success is the ongoing expansion of the company's Quality Depot Solutions (QDS) network into major logistics hubs, including new locations in North Bergen, New Jersey, and New Orleans, Louisiana, Strutz reported. QDS leverages QC’s diversified suite of transportation solutions, integrating full trucking support, repair options via Quality Repair Solutions, cross-border transit through Quality Mexico Solutions, tank cleaning via Quality Wash Solutions, and intermodal expertise.

The post also highlighted key leadership updates, including the promotion of Elena Adang to general counsel and corporate secretary to head the legal, human resources, compliance, and regulatory departments.

Additionally, QC celebrated its workforce during Military Appreciation Month in May to honor its large base of veteran employees, alongside maintaining active community engagement initiatives across several states.

Looking ahead, Strutz expressed confidence in the team’s ability to maintain momentum and drive collective growth through the remainder of 2026.

“I take immense pride in our team’s resilience and achievements—particularly while navigating challenging times,” Strutz concluded.
