Unilever recently named Quality Carriers its Bulk Carrier of the Year for 2025.

The consumer goods manufacturer revealed the award during its Logistics Summit, highlighting the CSX-owned tank truck carrier’s performance in service, cost, and safety as the keys to its win—and calling Quality Carriers an “exceptional partner” to the Unilever team.

“We have been working with Unilever for a long time, and over the years we have built an incredible rapport with their team,” Randy Strutz, Quality Carriers president, said in a social media post. “We have a good understanding of their bulk chemical needs and have built solutions that integrate seamlessly within their operations.

“We are excited to see our service and effort recognized with this award.”

The award is a team effort clinched by the professional drivers who keep Quality Carriers, its customers, and the economy rolling, the company said. “Their commitment to exceptional service for Unilever—and all of our customers—is what makes Quality Carriers a leader in the bulk liquid chemical industry,” Quality Carriers stated.

The bulk hauler also recently celebrated securing AdvanSix Gold Carrier status for the fourth year in a row, and completing its seventh three-year Responsible Care recertification cycle with zero non-conformance issues in a “significant achievement” for the safety-focused company.

Quality Carriers’ Responsible Care policies include:

  • Mandatory Responsible Care Management System certification
  • Tracking and transparently reporting company performance on environmental, health, safety, and security metrics
  • Implementing product safety
  • Process safety and security codes
  • Initiatives to reduce carbon emissions

“I’m extremely proud of our team.” said Cynthia Harvey, Quality Carriers’ senior director of OSHA compliance and Responsible Care. “Safety isn’t a one-time event. It is a consistent habit that needs to be implemented day-in and day-out.

“Having that effort recognized by an industry partner is something we’re excited to celebrate.”
