In the motor pools in which Nick Lee served, soldiers managed fleets of Abrams tanks and the fuel trucks that served them. Those trucks were 2,500-gallon tankers and fuel trailers taht pumped JP-8 through complex hose systems to keep vehicles in the fight. If the fuelers failed, so did the mission.
