Murex, a liquid fuels marketing and logistics company with $3.3 billion in annual revenue, recently deployed SeekrFlow to automate invoice creation from bills of lading (BoLs) across its truck, rail, barge, and vessel operations.

Scheduling 40,000 trucks annually and operating a fleet of 5,000 railcars, Murex processes between 10,000 and 15,000 BoLs every month, according to Seekr Technologies. In the liquid fuels sector, every physical movement requires a BoL recording the origin, volume, and custody of the load. But these critical documents often arrive as scattered scans, photographs, and faxes in varying formats from dozens of terminals and carriers, creating a persistent invoicing bottleneck because loads cannot be billed until this information is captured.

To solve this problem, Murex turned to Seekr’s vision-model document ingestion and agentic reasoning platform.

The AI deployment extracts necessary billing data to automatically generate invoices, which is projected to eliminate between $1.5 million and $2.5 million in annual costs, the companies stated. Crucially, the system goes beyond basic data extraction: Every document is stored in a searchable knowledge layer, allowing AI agents to reason over the source material.

This enables logistics teams to quickly reconcile liquid bulk movements against contracts and trace any discrepancies directly back to the original paperwork—without manual searches.
