Trucking HR Canada (THRC) recently revealed the 104 transportation firms in its Top Fleet Employers program for 2024.
Among tank truck private fleets and for-hire carriers, KAG Canada and Tandet lead the way with nine years on the list, Alchemist Specialty Carriers and Trimac Transportation are in Year 6, 4Refuel is in Year 5, Castle Fuels is in Year 4, Linde Canada is in its third year, and Coastal Mountain Fuels is on the list for the first time.
“We are proud to see our list grow for the 11th year in a row,” Angela Splinter, Trucking HR Canada CEO, said in a news release. “Top Fleet Employers meet THRC’s HR [human resources] standards of excellence and are leaders in showcasing this industry as a great place to work. Fleets from all regions, and of all sizes are represented in the program this year and we look forward to celebrating all the top fleets.”
The Top Fleet Employers program is a national initiative that recognizes fleets that have HR policies and practices that meet the highest standards within the industry. It is not a competition, but a rigorous review process where applicants are evaluated based on multiple criteria. Fleets are assessed in these areas: Skills development, workplace culture, employee engagement, recruitment practices, compensation, sustainability, and innovative HR policies. Employees also play a role in providing feedback about their workplaces.
THRC will honor all the recognized employers for their achievements at the Top Fleet Employers Gala, which is set for Oct. 17 at the Palais Royale Ballroom in Toronto.
