Gravis, a North American provider of engineered dry bulk transportation packaging, recently acquired Procon Pacific, a distributor of flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBCs) and BOPP woven bags serving customers across the chemicals, food, and minerals industries.

Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Lombard, Illinois, Procon has built a reputation for supplying high-quality bulk packaging solutions and managing global sourcing relationships, Gravis reported. The company operates with a team of professionals across the United States, China, and India.

As part of the acquisition, the Procon team will join Gravis, and the company’s Lombard, Illinois, office will remain an active part of Gravis’s North American footprint. Integration efforts are currently underway, the companies said. “This acquisition represents an important step in strengthening our position as North America’s leading provider of bulk transportation packaging,” Gravis CEO Vishal Rao said in a news release. “Procon Pacific brings a talented team, strong customer relationships, and deep expertise in global sourcing.

“Together, we are better positioned to serve our customers with expanded capabilities, reliable supply, and continued innovation.”

The addition of Procon enhances Gravis’s scale in core end markets while strengthening its sourcing network and commercial capabilities, the company said. The combined organization will continue to focus on delivering high-quality packaging solutions and dependable supply for customers across a wide range of industrial applications.
