Tremcar absorbs Bedard Tankers

Canadian tank trailer manufacturer adds Bedard’s dry bulk expertise to extensive equipment lineup

Tremcar, headquartered in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Québec, Canada, recently acquired Bedard Tankers, which is based in Montreal.

Bedard, established in 1966, specializes in the design and manufacture of custom tank trailers primarily used for transporting dry bulk materials. The company is well known for its Butler model of dry bulk tankers, making Bedard an ideal addition to Tremcar’s vast selection of tank trailer offerings, the company said.

“We want to (bolster) Bedard Tanker operations, and ensure their long-term growth,” said Daniel Tremblay, Tremcar president. “We are happy to count Bedard Tankers as one of Tremcar’s important divisions.”

Tremcar said Bedard will continue to conduct “business as usual,” with the company’s operations remaining at its current facility, and its team of experts remaining on board.

“We are confident that joining the Tremcar team will ensure success,” said Nabil Attirgi, who has been president of Bedard Tankers since 1990. “Our manufacturing expertise will definitely be an asset in repositioning Bedard Tankers as a separate division of Tremcar, which will ensure its growth.”

Attirgi will remain on site to promote and sell Bedard products, Tremcar added. He can be reached at 514-863-3783 or [email protected].
