Tremcar recently acquired Sacramento, California-based Pacific Truck Tank (PTT), a manufacturer of custom propane and petroleum bobtail units and LPG service trucks.

The acquisition is an important plan in Tremcar’s plan to expand its presence in the United States, the tank trailer manufacturer reported. The combination with PTT is expected to strengthen Tremcar’s position in the petroleum and propane sectors, and enhance service for customers in the Western U.S. and Canada.

“We are thrilled to welcome Pacific Truck Tank to the Tremcar family,” Daniel Tremblay, Tremcar president, said in a news release. “This acquisition allows us to reinforce our service offering in the petroleum and propane industries while extending Tremcar’s footprint across the western United States. It will also generate additional work for our manufacturing plants in Ohio, Massachusetts, and Québec, strengthening our North American operations.”

Founded in 1981, PTT boasts a 22,000-sq.-ft. facility with six large work bays serving customers throughout the Western U.S. and into Western Canada. The company is a DOT-registered shop and holds an ASME R-Stamp. As part of the acquisition, PTT’s owner and employees will remain with the company, ensuring continuity of expertise and customer relationships. Tremcar plans to maintain the Sacramento facility as a service and assembly hub for U.S. customers.

“This partnership brings together two companies with shared values—quality, innovation, and customer dedication,” PTT CEO Kirby Fleming said. “By joining Tremcar, we gain access to broader resources and manufacturing capacity while continuing to serve our loyal customers with the same trusted team.”
