The average price of diesel used for on-road vehicles rose just over one cent last week to $2.805 per gallon, according to information from the Department of Energy.
Last year at this time, consumers were paying an average of $2.915 per gallon for on-road diesel, but summertime soon brought the price up to a high in August of $3.065 per gallon.
Low sulfur diesel last week rose 3.2 cents per gallon, ringing up at $2.748 per gallon. The price for ultra low sulfur diesel inched up .08 cent at $2.822 per gallon.
