DFS and Ridgemont Equity Partners recently acquired American Fleet Services (AFS) of Baltimore MA.

Dickinson Fleet Services (DFS) and majority shareholder Ridgemont Equity Partners recently acquired American Fleet Services (AFS) of Baltimore MA in a move Dickinson says bolsters its growth in the Northeast mobile fleet services market.

AFS is Dickinson’s eighth acquisition since 2017 and the second this year.

“We are very excited to partner with the American Fleet Services team,” DFS executive officers Ted Coltrain and Mike Dickinson said in a joint statement. “AFS has built a strong reputation for providing exceptional mobile repair services in Baltimore and the surrounding area that will serve as a solid base to accelerate future growth for our mobile fleet repair division in the Northeast Region for new and existing customers.”

DFS said it is actively seeking acquisition opportunities to broaden its service offerings and geographic reach, while also allowing team members the ability to experience improved career growth opportunities.

“Dickinson Fleet Services continues to cement itself as a prominent force in the mobile fleet maintenance industry,” said Joe McNerney, AFS owner. “DFS currently offers unmatched scale and a great customer experience with its proprietary technology, which results in excellent service to its customers.

“Alongside Dickinson Fleet Services, we will be able to service our existing customers on a national basis, as well as create a better customer experience with the use of TRAIT, DFS’ proprietary field service application.”
