Trucking HR Canada recently named Trimac Transportation a Top Fleet Employer for 2022.

The 81 trucking and logistics companies on the list released in April were recognized for exceeding standards of excellence in their recruitment and retention, workplace culture, compensation, training and skills development, and innovative HR practices.

“Trucking and logistics employers and their employees continue to emerge as leaders across Canada, creating welcoming workplaces for Canadians,” said Angela Splinter, Trucking HR Canada CEO. “As our sector continues to face labor shortages, Top Fleet Employers lead the industry in offering exceptional workplaces for their employees.”

Trimac, headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, made the ninth annual Top Fleet Employer list for the fourth time. Alchemist Specialty Carriers in British Columbia also made the four-year group. Westcan Bulk Transport (Alberta), a subsidiary of the Kenan Advantage Group, made the Fleets of Distinction group for fleets with five or more years of recognition.

Trucking HR Canada will recognize all the 2022 honorees during its annual Awards Gala on Oct. 13 in Toronto.

“We are honored to be recognized as Top Fleet Employer with Trucking HR Canada for the fourth year in a row,” said Rhonda Leason, vice president of people and culture at Trimac, which also recently received a Safe Handling Award for 2021 from CN. “This recognition is affirmation of our commitment to establishing a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

“Our people have been the heart of our business for over 77 years. Thank you to the team at Trimac for consistently demonstrating your passion to the industry and for inspiring a workplace that allows us to develop, retain and attract the very best talent in the industry.”
