Addition of 10 tankers for hauling bulk liquid commodities expands 30-year-old company’s services in Michigan

Ludington MI-based Quick-Way recently acquired the majority of the trailer assets of Northern Tank, which is based in Clare MI.

The company said the 10-tank trailer purchase will expand its services in the Midland MI area.

“It was the right time and the right fit for our company,” said Bill Dunn, owner of Quick-Way. “This purchase strengthens our existing fleet and will help us to expand our scope making us the third largest liquid bulk carrier in the Midland area.”

Quick-Way is a non-hazardous bulk liquid commodities carrier that is “hyper-focused” on safety and service, predicating that any potential growth acquisition must be “intentional and carefully examined” prior to execution, Quick-Way said.

The company’s main terminal is in Ludington but it also employs drivers in key stakeholder locations domiciled in Midland and Kalamazoo MI, and in the Chicago and Kankakee IL areas. Their business model aligns drivers and customers to efficiently serve clients while providing an “above-average” amount of home time for over-the-road tanker drivers.

Quick-Way is celebrating 30 years of serving the Great Lakes and Midwest markets in 2021. Dunn founded the business on the principles of safety and integrity. These values continue to drive the company to provide excellent service to its customers, and to be an employer of choice for its drivers and staff.

Quick-Way is a certified Responsible Care member.

“The purchase of Northern Tank, LLC’s trailer assets will provide us growth opportunities with our existing clients, and allow us to expand to meet the needs of new clients and commodities in the mid-Michigan area,” the company said.
