Ludington, Mich.-based bulk liquid hauler secures sixth Grand Award in NTTC’s North American Safety Contest with accident frequency of 0.00

Quick-Way, Inc., is celebrating another safety achievement.

The Ludington, Mich.-based bulk liquid hauler recently secured a for-hire carrier Grand Award in National Tank Truck Carriers’ 2021 North American Safety Contest with an accident frequency of 0.00 accidents per million miles.

Quick-Way claimed its sixth Grand Award while competing in the 3.5 million-miles-or-less category, where J&S Transport, Transmark, and Ventura Transfer Company also earned recognition. Quick-Way management credited the hard work of the company’s employees for making this year’s accomplishment possible.

“So much of our safety can be traced to the individual commitment and professionalism of each team member, but it is in the broader appreciation of how each role intersects with the others and the robust communication between them that translates distinct safe practices into a unified safety culture,” said Will Dunn, safety and recruiting manager for Quick-Way.

NTTC honored 19 carriers and private fleets with Grand Awards for operating with the fewest accidents per million-mile rate in their milage classes.

All winners now advance as finalists to contend for the coveted Heil Trophy. Quick-Way will compete in the Sutherland division against 11 other carriers in the less-than-15-million-miles class. Winners will be announced April 26 during NTTC’s Annual Conference in San Diego, Calif.
