Explore Sentry Road’s evolution into a powerhouse provider of purpose-built safety training and digital tools designed to automate the industry’s cleaning racks.

What began as an “accidental” solution to a niche problem has evolved into a powerhouse of purpose-built training software for the tank truck industry. Founded by Kyle Scallan to provide tank-cleaning-specific safety modules for Express Container, Sentry Road replaced generic training—such as sewer manhole entry and roofing fall protection—with highly specialized content. Over 14 years, the platform has expanded to serve major carriers, manufacturers, and maintenance providers, including Dana Companies, Heniff Transportation, and EnTrans International.

Now, under the leadership of CEO Jim Tormey, Sentry Road is leveraging agentic AI and API connections to further streamline safety, compliance, and onboarding. The company is also moving beyond training with the introduction of Cleaning Rack, a new software designed to automate and digitize the complex invoicing process for tank cleaners. With a core focus on interactive learning and “continuous improvement,” Sentry Road continues to drive measurable safety results across the industry, with partners like Express Container reporting significant improvements in their safety records since adoption.
