STE breaks ground on new facility

Sept. 11, 2023
State-of-the-art manufacturing plant, set to open in early 2025, will double the tank trailer manufacturer’s production workforce in Wisconsin.

STE recently broke ground on a state-of-the-art new manufacturing facility in Beloit, Wisconsin.

The new facility, located on the southwest corner of Shopiere Road and Interstate 39/90, is expected to come online in early 2025, doubling the current STE production workforce, the company reported.

“The investment by Hendricks Holding Company allows STE to continue to grow its strength, product offering, and presence in the tank trailer industry,” Chris Sipe, STE president, said in a news release. “This investment also gives STE the capability to access new markets and increase value for our customers through higher quality engineered products.”

Over fifty years ago, STE set out to deliver engineering and manufacturing excellence in the liquid tank industry. From humble beginnings in a garage in South Central Wisconsin to today’s factory in Beloit, STE has developed a reputation for meeting the most demanding bulk hauling requirements for the chemical, milk, and sanitary transport industries.

Hendricks acquired STE in 2006. Since then, STE has grown its brand and diversified its offerings to include a complete parts and service department to better service and supply the growing tank trailer industry.

“STE is part of the Hendricks Holding Company portfolio of businesses that manufactures a quality product, by quality people,” Hendricks CEO Brent Fox said. “Our customers are asking us to expand our product offering, and capacity to grow with them. The current facility in downtown Beloit is situated in a place where expansion would be extremely challenging and disruptive to the business. The location at Shopiere Road and I-90/39 allows us to accommodate our growth initiatives, and our dedication to our quality workforce, the greater Beloit community, Rock County, and Wisconsin.”
