Western Global expands distribution

New facility in California, the portable fuel tank supplier’s third in the U.S., boosts local support, reduces shipping times nationwide

Western Global, a provider of portable tanks and dispensing equipment, recently added a facility in Sacramento, California.

The company said its third U.S. facility, which joins locations in Troy, Michigan, and Pineville, North Carolina, allows it to expand local support and reduce shipping times for its customers across the United States.

“Our fuel tanks have continued to grow in popularity since our first U.S. location opened in 2006,” said John Cleary, Western Global Americas’ vice president of sales. “We opened our Pineville location four months ago to be closer to our east coast customers. We see this Sacramento location as the next logical progression in closing the proximity gap between customers so we can be ready for whatever their job or conditions might require.”

The addition of a Sacramento location also enhances Western Global’s focus on sustainability, the company said. It’s reducing carbon emissions by minimizing the distance trucks need to travel to ship its products to their destinations. In addition to this positive environmental impact, Western Global’s products support customers in their own efforts to reduce carbon emissions. Transportable TransCube Global fuel tanks accommodate petroleum diesel, as well as renewable diesel, offering advanced options for fleets to focus on environmental impacts.

“Adding new distribution facilities throughout the United States benefits customers with faster response times and positively impacts our environment,” Cleary said. “These new facilities are strategically located throughout the country to reduce our carbon footprint and the emissions created during transport.”

Jeremy Shepherd and Jeff Lawrence will provide leadership at the Sacramento facility, the company said.

Shepherd, a regional sales manager at Western Global, has 20 years of experience working for industrial equipment manufacturers. Before his time at Western Global, he was a regional sales manager for a manufacturer of fluid handling products. Lawrence is a national account manager at Western Global and brings 35 years of experience in the equipment industry to his role. Before joining the team, he held national account management roles for two equipment manufacturers with a focus on the western region of the U.S.
