Driver Decision Kit debuts customized CDL hiring software

The mobile web tool provides commercial fleets with AI-driven applicant tracking, interactive pay calculators, and tailored landing pages to improve trucker retention.

Key Highlights

  • Personalized links and portals give drivers immediate access to tailored content, improving engagement and transparency.
  • Interactive pay calculator allows drivers to customize earnings scenarios based on actual fleet pay sheets, aiding informed decision-making.
  • AI-powered support answers driver questions 24/7, directing them to relevant resources and reducing uncertainty during the hiring process.

Driver Decision Kit recently launched a personalized recruiting platform designed to help fleet operators streamline the hiring process for CDL drivers.

Following initial contact with a candidate, recruiters can use the web app to input a driver’s name, position, and potential role to automatically generate a unique link, the company reported. Sent via text message, the link provides the driver with immediate access to a customized portal while giving recruiting teams real-time analytics on candidate engagement.

According to the company's website, fleets already utilizing the platform include Liquid Trucking and Bulk Transit.

“Recruiting content on fleet websites is often too generic, forcing drivers to wander to find information,” Grant Stanley, Driver Decision Kit founder, said in a news release. “With this personalized Kit, fleets can directly address questions that matter to each driver and their family.

“By helping them make informed decisions, fleets create a unique recruiting and retention advantage.”

Interactive driver features

The centerpiece of the platform is a dynamic pay calculator built from a fleet’s actual pay sheets rather than relying on estimates. Drivers can adjust sliders for variables such as home time, bonuses, pay tiers, deductions, and workweek assumptions to better understand their potential earnings.

Alongside the calculator, a customized AI agent answers driver questions 24/7 using the fleet’s unique policies, directing candidates to relevant videos, podcast episodes, and related content directly within the app, according to the company.

Drivers also can click “Apply” at any time to submit a digital application.

Candidate engagement tracking

For hiring teams, Driver Decision Kit provides visibility into what each candidate views, calculates, and asks. Activity reports give recruiters conversation logs and engagement insights, allowing them to tailor subsequent follow-ups to the topics each driver cares about most.

Pricing for the platform is $100 per recruiter per month on a 12-month term with no setup fees, and the tool can be hosted on a fleet’s own domain, the company noted on its website. Fleets can customize the tool with their logo, colors, and job positions, while recruiters can add their photo, biography, and contact details.

“Changing jobs is a major decision, and uncertainty leads many drivers who accept offers to not attend orientation,” Stanley said. “By answering important questions early, the Kit removes uncertainty and jitters for drivers and their families. They feel prepared and confident in their job decision.”
