Two former industry and Heil Trailer leaders pass on

Richard J “Dick” Fridl, who retired in 1991 as president of The Heil Co, where he served the company in various capacities for 40 years, passed away on August 5, 2013. Dick was a lifelong resident of Milwaukee WI. A graduate of Marquette University College of Engineering, he received their Distinguished Alumnus of the Year award in 1996. He led The Heil Co through years of both survival and huge growth. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Florence, four daughters and many extended family members who were cherished by him dearly. Memorials in his name can be made to Divine Savior Holy Angels HS, the Jesuit Retreat House, Marquette University, HS, and School of Engineering, or the charitable organization of choice and are appreciated.

Robert E “Bob” Comstock, who led The Heil Co as sales manager and vice-president of sales until 1986, and then led Stuart Tank Sales, Elkhorn WI as vice-president of sales until retiring in 2006, passed away July 31, 2013 in Milwaukee. Bob is survived by his wife Nancy, two daughters and many extended family members who adored him. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Bob had many cherished friends throughout the tank trailer industry due to his engaging personality and honest diligent approach to customer service and support. Memorials in his name to Living Word Fellowship, or a charity of choice are appreciated.
