The Hoyer Group reports recently improved performance in several key quality and sustainability assessments. The global bulk logistics provider consistently achieved scores of over 90 points in Safety and Quality Assessment for Sustainability (SQAS) audits for its transport, workshop, cleaning, and depot operations.

Alongside these audit results, the company says it successfully recertified its quality management system under ISO 9001. These performance levels were maintained across several business units, including cotac, Road and Intermodal, and Gas Logistics.

“Being awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal once again and improving our score in economically challenging times demonstrate that we are continuously advancing,” Hoyer CEO Björn Schniederkötter said in a news release. “Sustainability is an integral part of our corporate strategy, which we systematically and measurably drive forward.”

In its latest EcoVadis assessment, the company increased its overall score from 78 to 83 points, retaining its Gold Medal status. This score places the group in the 97th percentile of companies evaluated worldwide. The Gold Medal is reserved for the top 5% of all companies assessed by the organization.

The EcoVadis model evaluates companies based on four categories: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Hoyer reported year-over-year improvements in all four areas, with the most significant gains occurring in the environment and ethics sectors.

“The results demonstrate the continuous improvement of our processes and structures in sustainability and quality management,” said Thies Grage, Hoyer director of safety, health, environment, quality, and sustainability. “They are the result of the joint efforts of many areas across the company and underline our commitment to consistently implementing responsible business practices.”
