Campbell Oil strengthens network with John’s Fuel Service acquisition
Campbell Oil recently acquired the assets of John’s Fuel Service from owner Johnny Robertson, expanding its dealer division, tank wagon fuel operations, and growing jobber network.
The acquisition strengthens Campbell Oil’s dealer and wholesale fuel network while building upon the relationships Robertson cultivated with store operators over many years, the company reported. Dealers within the John’s Fuel Service network now will have access to a broader portfolio of fuel brands, expanded dealer resources, and Campbell Oil’s preferred dealer program.
“Johnny Robertson and his team built a business rooted in strong customer service, trusted relationships, and deep industry knowledge, and that legacy deserves to be honored,” Eric O’Branovich, Campbell Oil vice president of sales operations, said in a news release. “We are truly grateful Mr. Robertson chose Campbell Oil as the right home for his business and his customers.
“Our values align closely, and we are committed to carrying forward everything he built with the same care and integrity he brought to it every day.”
Robertson will remain actively involved through the end of the year, working alongside the Campbell Oil team to ensure continuity of operations, customer relationships, and a seamless transition, the companies said.
Campbell Oil, a fourth-generation family-owned fuel and energy provider based in Elizabethtown, North Carolina, plans to continue pursuing strategic acquisitions and partnerships with established fuel marketers, jobbers, and convenience store operators seeking a trusted, family-owned partner focused on operational continuity, long-term growth, and customer relationships.
