Indiana-based fuel distributor and C-store operator acquires five Big Mike’s Gas N Go locations in Ohio.

Family-owned fuel distributor Good Oil Company recently acquired five Big Mike’s Gas N Go locations in Ohio. The stores reopened under the Good To Go banner April 30, marking a 33% increase in the company’s retail presence and furthering its strategic growth across the Midwest.

The new locations are in Troy, Tipp City, Batavia, Lebanon, and Loveland, Ohio.

“Acquiring these five stores from Big Mike’s is a meaningful step in our mission to bring the Good To Go experience to more communities,” Meachele Thomas, Good Oil chief operating officer, said in a news release. “We’re excited to introduce our customer-focused, tech-forward, and community-rooted approach to Ohio.”

Good Oil, based in Winamac, Indiana, was founded by Don O. Good Sr. in 1941 in Monterey, Indiana. The third-generation company, which relocated to its current headquarters in 1980, now operates 20 Good To Go stores, including 14 in Central Indiana, one in Illinois, and five in Ohio, and provides bulk deliveries of lubricants, oils, and fuels to homes and dealer sites.

“This latest expansion enhances the company’s regional footprint while staying true to its values of exceptional service and small-town integrity,” Good Oil reported.
