Reliable Energy expands footprint with Irvington Gas acquisition
Reliable Energy Partners recently acquired Irvington Gas, a bulk propane distributor headquartered in Irvington, Kentucky.
Irvington provides service to residential and commercial customers in and around nine counties surrounding the Louisville area. Reliable, which targets the “highly fragmented” propane distribution sector, is backed by Soundcore Capital Partners. The addition of Irvington, which is the company’s fifth acquisition in four months, extends Reliable’s footprint across six states.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Reliable said it plans to continue partnering with operators in “high-potential” metropolitan areas across the Northeast, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest regions. The company’s growth strategy combines organic expansion with selective acquisitions with the goal of creating a multi-regional propane distribution platform.
