Palmdale Propane, a subsidiary of Palmdale Oil, recently acquired Gatorgas LP, a propane gas distributor that specializes in the delivery and service of propane in North Central Florida and the Gulf Coast.

This is Palmdale’s third acquisition in the last year. The Florida-based hauler of fuels, lubricants, and chemicals absorbed Combs Oil Company earlier this year and Maassen Oil Company last summer.

Terms of the Gatorgas transaction were not disclosed.

“Gatorgas has long been recognized for its outstanding service, deep customer relationships, and strong local presence in Central Florida, and we are pleased to expand our geographic footprint to the region through this partnership,” Palmdale CEO Lachlan Cheatham said in a news release. “As a fellow family-owned and -operated business, we are proud to welcome the Gatorgas team to Palmdale.

“This acquisition represents an important step forward in our continued expansion and commitment to strengthening our footprint and capabilities throughout Florida.”

Gatorgas, based in Old Town, Florida, was founded in 1985 by Frank Anderson.

Its acquisition marks a key milestone in Palmdale’s mission to grow its offerings in the attractive North Central Florida market, while allowing Gatorgas customers to benefit from Palmdale’s expanded distribution network and operational expertise, the company reported.

“Joining Palmdale marks a significant milestone for Gatorgas and the customers and communities we proudly serve,” said Jennifer Anderson, Gatorgas president. “For more than 40 years, Gatorgas has been a locally rooted, family-run business focused on delivering safe, dependable, and personalized service. In Palmdale, we’ve found a partner that not only shares those values but also provides us with the scale, expertise, and infrastructure needed to take our service to the next level.

“This partnership marks the start of an exciting and natural evolution for our company, positioning us to better support our customers while remaining true to our core values.”
