Hoyer acquires Denmark-based Dantra Group
The Hoyer Group recently acquired Danish family-owned company Dantra Group.
The acquisition is intended to strengthen Hoyer’s position as a leading provider of transport logistics in Scandinavia, covering both road and intermodal operations, the company reported. Hoyer now maintains a strong presence across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Lithuania.
“With the acquisition of the Dantra Group, we are consistently pursuing our strategic growth path through targeted investments, enhancing both our network and our capacity for innovation,” Hoyer CEO Björn Schniederkötter said in a news release. “Together, we offer our customers even more comprehensive and sustainable logistics solutions, especially in future-oriented areas such as new energies and the circular economy.”
Dantra specializes in the transport of liquid chemicals and complementary depot and cleaning services. The acquisition expands Hoyer’s Northern European network with the goal of offering customers added value through a denser transport and service infrastructure and innovative logistics solutions, Hoyer said. The integration of the Dantra Group also opens up new opportunities in gas logistics, specialty chemicals, and carbon capturing.
“The integration into the Hoyer Group gives our customers access to a global network and extensive expertise,” Dantra CEO Marc Jeel said. “At the same time, our values as a family-owned business remain intact. Safety, security, quality, and sustainability will continue to be at the heart of everything we do.”
In the future, Dantra’s existing customers will benefit from an expanded network and new services across Europe and globally, particularly in intermodal transport as well as overseas shipping, the companies added. By combining the strengths of both companies, tailored, sustainable, and efficient logistics solutions can be offered to demanding industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and specialty products.
“What connects us with the Dantra Group is not only our shared business objectives, but above all, our common values: responsibility, sustainability, and the highest quality standards,” Schniederkötter said. “As long-established family-owned companies, we place great importance on safety, integrity, and acting in partnership—toward our employees, our customers, and the environment.
“Together, we are creating an even stronger foundation for sustainable growth in Northern Europe.”
