Carbon Express ups driver pay

Wharton, New Jersey-based liquid bulk carrier announces 4% across-the-board increase for all company drivers

Carbon Express recently implemented a 4% per hour increase for all its company drivers.

“Our drivers have been essential frontline employees for almost a year now and have gone above and beyond to keep the supply chain moving despite the obstacles thrown in their way,” the company said.

The pay increase keeps Carbon Express in a competitive position to hire and keep quality drivers, the company said. The Wharton, New Jersey-based liquid bulk carrier also pays overtime after 40 hours, and awards driver vacation pay based on weekly average pay.

Those driver compensation methods have helped Carbon Express keep its turnover rate at less than 10%.

Carbon Express recently made “Best Fleets to Drive For” for the first time, earning a place among the five 2021 Fleets to Watch on the prestigious grouping that is co-produced by CarriersEdge and the Truckload Carriers Association.

“We look forward to a prosperous 2021 and more increases soon,” the company said.
