Key Highlights

  • Paccar Connect is expected to be available in Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks in early 2027.
  • The factory-integrated platform brings vehicle functions, telematics and applications together through a touchscreen display.
  • Fleet managers can use the portal to monitor vehicle health, diagnostics, mileage, location, warranty status and idle time.

Paccar recently launched Paccar Connect, a new factory-integrated platform that brings telematics, driver productivity tools, and fleet applications together in Kenworth and Peterbilt class 8 trucks.

The platform is expected to be available for both OEMs in early 2027.

Operating through a new touchscreen display, Paccar Connect pairs essential vehicle functions with an expanding suite of apps and tools to deliver a seamless digital experience for drivers and fleets. For fleets and owner operators, the platform—which is covered under factory warranty—can eliminate the need for multiple aftermarket devices while providing greater flexibility to manage fleet services.

“Paccar Connect advances our connected vehicle strategy,” John Rich, Paccar chief technology officer, said in a news release. “By creating a future-ready technology foundation, it enables us to continuously expand capabilities, integrate new technologies, and enhance the driver experience.”

The system features a gateway to the Virtual Vehicle software platform, which includes an applications marketplace that enables fleets to access a growing selection of applications, Paccar reported. Kenworth and Peterbilt customers can access and activate applications directly through the Paccar Connect Portal, integrating their own workflows and technology into the truck.

For fleet managers, the portal provides new back-office tools for fleet management, including enhanced capabilities to monitor vehicle health, remote diagnostics, mileage, location, warranty status, and idle time. Kenworth and Peterbilt’s implementations include several features specifically designed for trucks and the drivers who operate them, Paccar added.

Key Paccar Connect features include:

  • High-definition touchscreen display
  • Voice assistant: Voice-controlled access to select truck functions and information
  • Camera integration: PACCAR Connect supports up to eight camera inputs, with the ability to automatically trigger views based on vehicle functions such as reversing and turn signals
  • Bluetooth connectivity: Supports pairing two phones simultaneously and Apple CarPlay compatibility
  • Paccar apps: Drivers have access to a Digital Operator’s Manual, Driver Tutorials, Vehicle Health information and a Dealer Locator
