Stemco broadens Auto-Torq axle fastener offering
Stemco recently released its Auto-Torq axle fastener as a standalone component and expanded the Auto-Torq product line to include a Drive R drive-axle application, enabling fleets to install the device on a wider range of equipment.
Along with the standalone release, Stemco updated pricing on existing Auto-Torq kits.
Auto-Torq was designed to streamline wheel end installation by eliminating the need for complex processes and specialty tools, Stemco said. With no need for washers, clips, snap rings, screws, or keepers, Auto-Torq makes installation simple and efficient. Plus, by applying the optimum clamp load on the bearings every time, bearing wear is minimized, resulting in the longest bearing service life.
“Auto-Torq is the pinnacle of axle-fastener technology, combining the best of safety and performance,” Joshua Kucera, Stemco product manager, said in a news release. “By expanding our application coverage and offering it as a standalone component, we make these benefits more accessible for our customers and further our commitment to making the roadways safer.”
Auto-Torq offers an all-in-one solution that is compatible with any industry hub manufacturer, the company added. By reducing potential causes of installation failure, operators can rest easy knowing their components are installed securely in place. Also, when combined with Stemco’s seals, bearings, and hubcaps, customers benefit can from extended wheel-end warranties.
