Grote Industries is expanding its engineering design center and production facility, Grote Industries de Mexico, in Apodaca, Mexico.
The company also is growing its manufacturing space by more than 50% to accommodate new production and shipping capacity. These improvements will increase efficiency, reduce costs, and help Grote remain at the forefront of industry innovation, the company said. Grote Industries de Mexico has been operating in Mexico since 1993 and employs over 600 people.
“The expansion of Grote Industries de Mexico underscores Grote’s ongoing commitment to embrace new opportunities and create the kind of industry-leading products that customers around the globe have come to rely on,” says Dominic Grote, president and CEO of Grote. “Grote Industries has been a leader in innovation for more than 120 years—today, they carry on that tradition by consistently delivering safer, smarter products in a highly competitive marketplace.”
Grote’s investment in its operations in Mexico will enable the company to be more competitive and better serve its customers in an increasingly challenging market. Grote’s North American locations in Mexico, the United States, and Canada play a critical role in its success. These vertically integrated facilities allow the company to navigate supply chain issues, assemble products at multiple locations, and ship them to customers worldwide.
“The expansion and improvement of our Mexico operation will further our overall goal of operating safe, environmentally friendly facilities dedicated to the pursuit of zero-defect manufacturing,” Grote said.
Added Antonio Leal, general manager of Grote Industries de Mexico: “At a local level, Grote Industries is deeply committed to providing great jobs and a professional work environment to our team in Apodaca. The expansion of Grote Industries de Mexico will ensure that our capacity for innovative product development and production is able to grow along with our customers’ needs well into the future.”
