Propane supplier returns to NoCell for technology that disables unauthorized apps, tracks compliance when delivery vehicles are in motion

NoCell Technologies is helping Trico Propane discourage distracted driving.

The Rogers, Texas-based propane supplier recently returned to the company for additional NoCell devices that detect when its delivery and service vehicles are in motion, and disable unauthorized apps on drivers’ phones.

“NoCell allows us to protect the company and our employees by reducing the possibility of device distractions for drivers,” said Jack Walzell, owner of Trico Propane, which has provided residential and commercial services, including propane delivery, tank installation, testing, and repairs, since 1992. “Their service and solution are assets we can have at our disposal to ensure safe driving throughout our company.

“We’ve been so impressed with this product that we’ve asked NoCell to present their solution at the Texas Propane Gas Association board meeting.”

NoCell is a California-based technology provider that uses a “non-intrusive” NoCell tag in the truck cab, in combination with an app on drivers’ phones, to reduce driver distractions. The company’s solution includes a management system that reports and tracks compliance with group- and individual-level, mobile device-use policies.

NoCell’s technology is compatible with Android and Apple devices, the company said.

“Trico Propane was an early adopter of NoCell and we are pleased that they have realized its value in improving safety,” said Corey Woinarowicz, chief revenue officer at NoCell. “We look forward to working with them to deploy additional NoCell devices in their fleet and make our solution available to the propane industry in Texas.”
