OPW Fluid Transfer Group has appointed Mark Tippie vice-president — Asia-Pacific & Latin America, responsible for growth and development of the group's products in those regions. He spent more than 10 years in Singapore as a regional manager for companies serving the oil and gas market and also served as president of Enraf Fluid Technology USA Inc.

Per Carlsson has been appointed new president and chief executive officer of Volvo Trucks North America Division. Presently responsible for Volvo Powertrain Sweden, he will begin his new position Jan 1, 2008, and will succeed Peter Karlsten. Starting December 1, Karlsten will become president and CEO of Volvo Powertrain. He will also serve as senior vice-president — technology for the Volvo Group and as a new member of the Group Executive Committee. Lars Thoren, currently chief financial officer, will become acting president of Volvo Trucks North America.

SAF Holland announces that Frank Puciul has been named OEM account manager — powered vehicle systems, responsible for the Paccar group including Kenworth Truck Co and Peterbilt Motors. A SAF Holland employee since 1990, he has served as a national accounts manager since 2000.

Blackmer has appointed Mark Stubbs director — customer care and applications engineering. Stubbs, who joined the firm in 2000 as a commodity manager within the purchasing department, has a combined 23 years of manufacturing experience. Blackmer also named Jack Spoors director — inventory and logistics. He was previously director — customer care and applications engineering.

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC has appointed Rick Nork as its vice-president and chief financial officer. Eddie Wilkinson has been promoted to vice-president of quality and product safety. Nork, who held the CFO post on an interim basis for the past four months, came to Bendix after 12 years with Robert Bosch Corp/AlliedSignal Braking Systems Americas, where he was CFO and executive vice-president of finance, controlling, and administration. Wilkinson previously served as operations director at Bendix since 2006. Al Rollison has been promoted to national account manager. With more than 14 years of sales management and marketing experience in the commercial vehicle industry, he previously was an aftermarket account manager in Florida working in the southeast region.
