OPW Fueling Components, a Dover company, has promoted Eric Riffle from manager, product development to director, engineering of its newly formed OPW-FC Business Unit. OPW Fueling Components has appointed Jim Walton to the newly formed position of vice president, regulatory affairs. For the past eight years, he has served as vice president, OPW Environmental Systems. Keith Moye has been named vice president, sales and marketing-North America for the company's OPW-FC and OPW-FCS business units. Most recently, he served as vice president, sales-North America with Gilbarco Veeder Root. Rahul Deshmukh has been promoted from vice president, OPW Dispensing Products to general manager of the OPW-FC Business Unit.

Beall Corporation has hired Rusty Watson as southern regional sales manager based in Nashville TN to establish a distributor network and call on major fleets from Texas to Florida. He has been in the trucking/transportation industry for more than 17 years and was previously with Fontaine Trailer Company.

Blackmer, a Pump Solutions Group (PSG) company, has announced the promotion of Jim Pope to director of finance. He joined Blackmer 17 years ago and in his time at the company has contributed to a number of important initiatives.

Mack Trucks Inc named Bruce P Hollenbeck to the newly created position of vice president of strategic product programs in the Mack Product Portfolio Management organization. He led product planning activities at Mack for the past 15 years, including the complete renewal of the company's product range.

Kenworth Truck Company has named its 2009 Kenworth Dealer Council members: Chairman — Brent Leach, Custom Truck Sales, Regina, Saskatchewan; Jim Beiderwieden, Inland Kenworth, Burnaby, British Columbia; Harry Mamizuka, NorCal Kenworth, Oakland CA; Tim Murphy, MHC Kenworth, Kansas City MO; Dan Penksa, Kenworth of Buffalo (NY); Alex Sykes, Cooper Kenworth, Durham NC; and Ron Whiteford, Lower Great Lakes Kenworth, South Bend IN. Jim Hartman of Truck Enterprises in Harrisonburg VA serves as the Kenworth ATD line representative.

Continental Tire North America Inc (CTNA) has named Wyatt Hamilton its key account manager for original equipment sales in the commercial vehicle tire division. Based in CTNA's North American headquarters in Indian Land SC, he will service truck and trailer manufacturers for the eastern United States and Canada. Hamilton was previously a key account manager for aftermarket tire sales.

Walter Frankiewicz has been appointed president of Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake LLC, the joint venture of Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC and Dana Commercial Vehicle Products LLC. He replaces Kishor Pendse, who will retire from Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake by the end of 2009. Until then, Pendse will serve as general manager while he assists in transferring responsibilities to Frankiewicz. The transition will extend through the end of June, and then Pendse will assist Knorr-Bremse and Bendix in strategic projects for the rest of 2009. Frankiewicz comes to Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake from Alcoa Inc, where he served as president for Alcoa Electrical and Electronic Solutions.

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC has promoted Bob Johnson to vice president of aftermarket sales and marketing. He succeeds John Flad, a 26-year commercial vehicle aftermarket veteran who retired March 31, 2009. Johnson, who began his career with Bendix in 1989, most recently was director-marketing and communications.

Dennis R Shirar of Indianapolis IN has logged more than three million accident-free miles driving tractor trailers over the past 31 years. He was selected as the Truck Renting and Leasing Association (TRALA) 2009 Driver of the Year, an award program sponsored by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. An employee of Heritage Transport LLC, Shirar was recognized at TRALA's 2009 annual meeting recently. Besides an all-expense-paid trip to the event for himself and his wife, Patty, he received a trophy and cash prize.
