Ryder System Inc hosted a two-day career fair exclusively for current and former members of the US military. The event, hosted in conjunction with the Louisiana National Guard and Hire Heroes USA, was held October 22–23 at Esler Airfield in Pineville LA.

Ryder is hiring veterans and current members of the military for roles including diesel mechanics, CDL drivers, logistics managers, and other professional support positions.

“So far this year, Ryder has hired over 3,100 new employees in the United States, including more than 1,100 drivers, almost 1,000 mechanics, and over 1,000 other professionals,” said Kirk Imhof, Ryder’s Group director of staffing and former first lieutenant in the US Army, Military Intelligence Corps. “We anticipate hiring another 4,000 new employees in the United States in 2012 and are hopeful that many of these positions will be filled by American heroes—US veterans.”
