Quality Carriers plans to implement TGI Connect’s satellite-based trailer tracking.

The partnership is expected to enhance the tank truck carrier’s operational visibility and fleet efficiency through TGI’s advanced tracking and business intelligence solutions, including the SmartOne Solar hardware and My Connect Manager (MCM) asset management software. With around-the-clock access to accurate location data and advanced insights through TGI’s built-in alerts and reports, Quality Carriers will be positioned to save money and improve overall fleet performance with data-based decision making, the companies reported.

“Our mission to deliver excellence in transportation depends on having complete visibility into our assets,” Randy Strutz, Quality Carriers president, said in a news release. “Teaming with TGI Connect offers us the tools to optimize our fleet, reduce costs, and strengthen operational agility across North America.”

By integrating TGI’s solar-powered SmartOne tracking hardware and analytics through MCM, Quality Carriers can manage its trailers—even in remote areas where cellular service falters—with full satellite coverage, rapid installation (about 5 minutes per unit), and solar-powered rechargeable batteries, TGI said.

Key benefits of working with TGI include:

  • Total asset visibility anywhere: 100% global satellite tracking ensures consistent coverage, even in cellular dead zones.
  • Maintenance-free hardware: The SmartOne tracking device installs quickly, connects easily (without wiring), and comes backed by a five-year warranty.
  • Actionable insights for smarter operations: Geofencing alerts carriers when vehicles enter or exit designated areas, while integrated MCM reporting provides visibility into yard checks, dwell time, utilization, mileage, and more.
  • Scalable and future-proof: As carriers expand, the system supports rapid hardware deployment and integration with existing transportation software systems.
  • Measurable ROI: Customers typically see fleet optimization, reduced rental needs, and additional revenue opportunities—reflected in cost reductions and improved productivity.

“Reliable trailer visibility is mission-critical in today’s demanding transportation landscape,” TGI CEO Bill Wright said. “QC has built a strong reputation for transportation excellence.

“We are both honored and excited to provide them with capabilities that deliver actionable insights, enhanced utilization, and measurable ROI.”
