Teletrac Inc, a GPS tracking and fleet management provider, announced that it has been named a 2015 CES Innovation Awards Honoree in the Safe Driving Category.
Products entered in this program are judged by a pre-eminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers, and members of the trade media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting-edge consumer electronics products across 28 product categories.
Teletrac’s award-winning software, Fleet Director, was honored for its commitment to driver and vehicle safety by offering a rich business tool that moves beyond traditional GPS fleet tracking. The awards committee recognized Teletrac Safety Analytics for its insight into driver safety behavior on the road, and the ability to use this data in meaningful commercial applications. Managers can monitor their drivers on the job by using Teletrac Safety Analytics’s data-rich dashboards to display any incidents of harsh braking, speeding, fast cornering, and stop sign violations. This arsenal of behavioral data helps businesses easily monitor and implement safety incentives into their driver training.
The safety component is coupled with actionable vehicle data that provides companies with key performance data such as fuel use, idle time information, and vehicle diagnostic data. This information can help cut down fuel consumption and other inefficiencies, increasing a fleet’s lifespan, efficiency, and cost savings.
The CES Innovation Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), producer of the International CES, a global gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technology, and have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976.
Entries are evaluated on their engineering, aesthetic and design qualities, intended use/function and user value, how the design and innovation of the product directly compares with other products in the marketplace, and unique/novel features present.
