FIBA Technologies Inc. announces that the U.S. Department of Transportation has granted to FIBA special permit DOT-SP 14661, which authorizes a 10-year requalification cycle on certain compressed gas tube trailers and ISO skid containers. This special permit requires acoustic emission testing (AET) to assess the integrity of the cylinders and tubes. AET provides a superior test method while the extended retest cycles reduce the cost of fleet operations.

FIBA serves industrial and specialty gas and chemical companies that use intermodal, high-pressure gas, and cryogenic products globally. For any requalification services or a pressure vessel, tube trailer, or multiple-element gas container (MEGC); or to learn more, phone 508-887-7100 or visit the website at www.fibatech.com.
