Penn Tank Lines, an East Coast petroleum hauler, will open a new terminal in Montvale VA during the first quarter of 2010. Initially, four transports and 10 drivers will be assigned to the facility, which will serve the greater Roanoke area.

Announcement of the new terminal follows a strong push into the Baltimore MD area. “Over the past couple of years, we have steadily expanded our Baltimore operations as part of an effort to strengthen our foothold in the Mid-Atlantic region,” says Ronald W Grimm, Penn Tank Lines director of sales. “We’re now operating seven to eight trucks a day in that area.

Penn Tank Lines operates 15 terminals and employs 380 drivers across a region that encompasses the eastern half of the United States. The carrier hauls gasoline, diesel, aviation products, and alternative fuels.
