ATA Litigation Center expands Trucking Legal Forum

April 17, 2019
The American Trucking Associations is opening registration for the ATA Litigation Center’s Trucking Legal Forum.

The American Trucking Associations is opening registration for the ATA Litigation Center’s Trucking Legal Forum—a newly re-branded and expanded event aimed at educating not only industry lawyers but trucking executives and other trucking professionals about the myriad of legal issues facing their businesses.

“Every day, motor carriers are faced with a number of complex legal concerns,” said Jennifer Hall, ATA’s executive vice president and general counsel. “By revamping and reimagining this forum, we hope to shine a light on these issues in a way that helps ATA’s members and the industry at large.”

The ATA Litigation Center’s newly dubbed Trucking Legal Forum, formerly called Forum for Motor Carrier General Counsel, is open to not only law firms and in-house counsel, but C-level executives, and risk, safety and human resources professionals in the trucking industry.

The event, which also will offer continuing education, will be held July 14-17 at the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego CA.

“Each year the forum focuses on the most pressing legal, risk and compliance issues facing motor carriers,” Hall said. “This year, topics include wage and hour rule changes and challenges, from both a government and motor carrier perspective, as well as other labor, litigation and business law sessions.”
