Equipment suppliers STE and Ridewell are expanding their support of the tank truck industry through a new two-year sponsorship of National Tank Truck Carriers’ advocacy program.
Through the new agreement, STE and Ridewell will help drive engagement at key industry events such as the NTTC Annual Conference, Tank Truck Week, and the association’s biennial Call on Washington. Their support strengthens NTTC’s ability to advocate on behalf of tank truck carriers before Congress, federal agencies, and other policymakers on issues impacting safety, operations, and the long-term health of the industry, the association reported.
“Strong advocacy requires strong partnerships,” Ryan Streblow, NTTC president and CEO, said in a news release. “Ridewell and STE are long-standing leaders in our industry, and their support of NTTC’s advocacy efforts helps ensure the tank truck voice remains effective and influential in Washington.”
STE last year opened a highly automated, 400,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility in its hometown of Beloit, Wisconsin. The grand opening last September drew dignitaries from across the country, including Streblow and NTTC Chairman David Price—and even got the attention of President Trump.
“STE is thrilled to launch this multi-year advocacy partnership with NTTC,” said Chris Sipe, STE president. “Because our customers are the heart of the NTTC, we are proud to stand alongside them in championing the initiatives that move the tank truck industry forward.”
Ridewell, a third-generation, family-owned company headquartered in Springfield, Missouri, supplies parts and components for the vocational trailer market, including tank, heavy haul, grain, and oilfield trailers.
“Tank truck carriers provide crucial services to the U.S. economy,” said Justin Cravens, Ridewell president. “I can’t think of a better way to advance this industry than to support the issues that affect it the most.”
