Aug. 20, 2013

Granby Industries Ltd, a Granby QC, Canada, manufacturer of heating oil tanks for residential and commercial use, has acquired Pro-Par Inc. As a fabricator of storage tanks, dispensers, and transport units for the Canadian propane industry, Pro-Par will have the opportunity to continue growing alongside its new owner.

Robert Parsons, president and founder of Pro-Par, says: "I am very happy to pass the torch to Granby Industries, a solid company with a clear plan for success. I feel very confident that Granby Industries will ensure continuity at Pro-Par by maintaining jobs, upholding product quality standards, caring for clients, and building on our expertise."

The Pro-Par operation will retain its company name, the current management team, and employees. It will continue to operate from its plant in Sherbrooke QC, Canada; and it will continue to support its clientele.

Pierre Fournier, president and chief executive officer of Granby Industries, adds: "Pro-Par is an established leader in its industry. The quality of the team in place is inextricably tied to any present or future success. Our intention is to provide all necessary support at all levels to ensure growth without changing the values of Pro-Par. By joining the Granby Industries family, the Pro-Par team and its clients will count on a wider expertise that will be profitable to everyone.

"While expanding Granby Industries' production capacity, extending its product offering and broadening its field of action, this acquisition is also about expertise and know-how that will indeed add value to all of our products. It's about building something bigger than the sum of our parts, it's about mutual growth.”
