Furth, who led the tank truck industry’s trade association for eight years, named company’s new VP of corporate development, communications

Daniel Furth has found a new home within the tank truck industry.

The former National Tank Truck Carriers president and CEO recently joined Heniff Transportation Systems’ senior management team as its executive vice president of corporate development and communications.

“Dan is a proven leader in our industry and a great addition to the Heniff management team,” said Bob Heniff, founder and CEO of Heniff Transportation. “His unique tank truck experience, government affairs background, and recognized corporate communications skills will allow him to make immediate contributions to our team as our company continues to grow and excel in a competitive marketplace.”

Furth spent 12 years with NTTC, including the last eight as president. He had served as an independent consultant within the bulk transportation sector since leaving the tank truck industry’s trade association in August 2020 amid pandemic challenges.

Ryan Streblow was named NTTC's fifth president and CEO in June 2021.

Earlier in his career, Furth was the chief of staff and senior director of corporate relations for Tampa-based MTL Inc., where he played an integral role in the company’s initial public offering, subsequent leveraged buyout, combination with Chemical Leaman, and ultimate rebranding as Quality Distribution/Quality Carriers.

“I’m very excited to join the Heniff team, which I’ve admired for years as one of the strongest in the industry,” Furth said. “Bob is a true visionary, and his company’s unparalleled trajectory of growth and success affirms its position as the true industry leader.

“I look forward to working with the industry’s best and brightest as we drive value creation for all of our important stakeholders.”
