Endeavor Business Media (EBM) has promoted Kevin Jones to editorial director for its Commercial Vehicle business, and the group’s flagship publication, FleetOwner—the trucking industry’s leading information source for more than 90 years.

Erica Schueller, who took the role in 2020 to lead the newly formed CV business unit, which includes FleetOwnerFleet MaintenanceAmerican TruckerTrailer/Body BuildersBulk TransporterRefrigerated Transporter, and HD Pickup & Van, is leaving the company for a position with an industry equipment manufacturer.

“Erica has been an enormous contributor to our success,” said Reggie Lawrence, EVP at EBM. “Her approach has fostered outstanding collaboration throughout our content team, and she has helped us achieve best-in-class quality for our brands. I recruited Kevin in 2015 and we have accomplished a lot together. Like Erica, he is an established voice in the industry, a proven leader, and a generous mentor.”

An accomplished newspaper editor who began covering business and regulatory issues for the trucking industry in 2006, Jones was named content director for American Trucker in 2015.
Promoted to editor-in-chief of Trailer/Body Builders in 2017, he became only the third editor of the magazine in its 60 years as the preeminent CV equipment manufacturing and distribution title. He also has authored various award-winning projects for FleetOwner.

Jones will lead several new engagement initiatives at Endeavor, including the recently launched Commercial Vehicle Business Intelligence products, the Commercial Vehicle Technology event, Fleet of the Year Awards, the ongoing FleetOwner webinar series, and a range of other channels to connect trucking industry professionals with the information and services they need to run profitable businesses.

“As other B2B media companies serving this industry are struggling, Endeavor continues to invest in our established, elite brands while also looking for new ways to leverage an unmatched breadth and depth of content and data—so I’m excited, to say the least,” Jones said. “Erica has built a great foundation for the new group, and she and I have worked closely to assemble an all-star team that makes CVG the first call for solutions—whether you’re a trucking company exec or a marketer trying to reach the top people at the top fleets.”

Schueller joined the organization in 2007 as associate editor, later earning promotions to managing editor and eventually editor-in-chief of Fleet Maintenance in 2017.

“Delivering the breaking news and in-depth reporting readers access on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis is no small feat, and this amazing team makes that happen day in, and day out. That certainly will not change,” Schueller said. “There are exciting things to come for Endeavor’s Commercial Vehicle business.”

Jones will report to Mike Uliss, vice president of Endeavor Commercial Vehicle.
