Texas TransEastern recognizes top drivers with safety awards

During December, petroleum hauler Texas TransEastern held a series of safety banquets to celebrate and recognize its safe, dedicated, professional drivers.

“I am so proud of our driving professionals and the excellent job they do each and every day,” said J J Isbell, Texas TransEastern president. “These awards are proof of their dedication to safety and their profession.”

Among the awards presented was the American Trucking Associations mileage award presented to those that have reached accident free mileage achievements at Texas TransEastern. Rod Bayeur, San Antonio TX; Robert Dykes, Tyler TX; and Orlando Walker and Derrick Gray, Pasadena TX received the prestigious One Million Mile Award for safely driving accident-free for more than one million miles.

Six individuals earned the 250,000-mile award; five achieved the 500,000-mile award, and six were presented the 750,000 mile award. In all, 54 Texas TransEastern driving professionals received career safe driving awards that totaled over 811 years of safe driving.

Texas TransEastern also presented three driving professionals with the prestigious drivers of the year award. Mark Rodriguez was named driver of the year for Houston/Pasadena, Rod Bayeur was named driver of the year for the San Antonio region, and Perry Benton was named driver of the year for the Waco TX region.
