Quality Carriers facilities clear Responsible Care audits

Two locations in Delaware, Ohio, achieve zero nonconformances during third-party evaluations, demonstrating a strict commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.

Two Quality Carriers (QC) facilities in Ohio recently passed third-party Responsible Care audits with zero nonconformances.

Both newly certified locations are in Delaware, Ohio. Shelly Wickman from Buffalo ASP led the audits, Quality Carriers reported. Passing a Responsible Care (RC) audit with zero nonconformances supports the CSX-owned tank truck carrier’s commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.

“By being part of RC, QC has made a commitment to help the logistics industry improve its environmental, health, safety, and security performance,” Cynthia Harvey, Quality Carriers senior director of OSHA compliance and Responsible Care, said in a news release. “I am incredibly proud of our team’s ability to pass these RC audits with flying colors. These audits demonstrate the impact of our safety strategies.

“They prove to ourselves, our industry, and the wider world that we are committed to doing business the right way.”

Quality Carriers said its internal Responsible Care policies include:

  • Mandatory Responsible Care Management System certification
  • Tracking and transparently reporting company performance on environmental, health, safety, and security metrics
  • Implementing product safety
  • Process safety and security codes
  • Initiatives to reduce carbon emissions
