Superior Environmental Solutions (SES), part of Palladium Equity Partners, recently acquired Iowa-based Captain Clean.
The acquisition expands SES’s operational footprint and strengthens its market presence in Iowa and across the Midwest, enhancing its service capabilities and customer reach within the agriculture and food processing sector, the company reported. The addition of Captain Clean is SES’s ninth acquisition in the past nine years and third during Palladium’s 20-month ownership.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1969, Captain Clean delivers a suite of recurring, essential industrial services closely aligned with SES’s offerings, including water blasting and power washing, industrial vacuuming and pumping, ice blasting, and additional specialized solutions for a blue-chip customer base.

With a workforce of nearly 1,000 employees, SES operates from over 65 facilities across 14 states in the Midwest, Southern, and Western United States. The company offers a full suite of environmental and industrial solutions, including hydro blasting, vacuum truck services, waste management, product destruction, tank cleaning, and a range of other technical services. SES serves a diverse base of more than 1,100 customer locations across key end markets such as agriculture, food processing, chemicals, metals, utilities, automotive, and refining.
