Talke USA breaks ground on support center
Talke USA recently broke ground on a new recycling support center in Mont Belvieu, Texas, just east of Houston, where the German chemical logistics company first established its presence in the heart of the U.S. petrochemical industry in 2022.
The new facility on Langston Drive represents the next phase of Talke USA’s growth and continued investment in responsible logistics infrastructure, the company reported. With support and funding from Chambers County, the project highlights a shared commitment to local economic development, environmental responsibility, and sustainable industry innovation. The county’s involvement has been pivotal in aligning community priorities with long-term industrial growth.
As part of its role in supporting circular supply chains, the facility will contribute to advanced recycling and mechanical recycling efforts by processing post-consumer plastic materials.
“We’re proud to break ground on a facility that reflects our long-term vision for sustainable growth,” Richard Heath, Talke USA CEO and president, said in a news release. “This groundbreaking marks an important milestone for our team, our customers, and the Mont Belvieu community.”

At the Talke facility, materials will be received and formed into bales. The material will be further processed at Cyclyx’s new Houston-based circularity center and converted into ISCC-PLUS-certified recycling feedstock, Talke explained.
The recycling support center will support evolving customer needs while advancing Talke’s broader commitment to ‘crafting responsible logistics’—a company-wide misson to deliver high-performance logistics with a focus on sustainability, safety, and long-term impact.
The ceremony brought together local officials, partners, and members of the Talke USA team to celebrate the beginning of construction. Ongoing partnership with Chambers County will help guide the project through its next phase.
“I’m excited about the collaboration that made this project possible,” said Alexander Boehm, Talke USA chief operating officer. “Tommy Hammond and the team at Chambers County, along with our partners at Cyclyx and the City of Mont Belvieu, have been instrumental in helping us take this important step to build the recycling support center.”
