Transervice Logistics Inc, a provider of customized transportation solutions, has been selected by Prairie Farms Dairy Inc, a Midwestern dairy cooperative, to provide on-site dedicated contract maintenance at the company’s milk bottling plant in Somerset KY. The facility is currently undergoing a $5 million, 6,000 sq ft expansion in the plant’s bottling and receiving areas.
A Transervice maintenance manager and two technicians will be responsible for maintaining some 60 power units at the Bourne Avenue plant, including tractors, straight trucks, and reefer trailers used to transport temperature-sensitive products.
Mike Chandler, general manager of Prairie Farms Dairy Kentucky Division, said: “We are very pleased with the service and relationship with Transervice since they took over the maintenance operation. Everything they have said they will do, they have.”
Wolfgang Marschhauser, Transervice senior vice-president of sales, added: “Transervice has always been focused on one-to-one relationships, making it easy to meet the distinct needs of a partner like Prairie Farms. Saying what we do and doing what we say becomes the key to long term success.”
