Foodliner acquires Buesing Bulk Transport operations in Minnesota, Missouri
Foodliner Inc and Hudson WI-based Buesing Bulk Transport have reached an asset purchase agreement, with Foodliner assuming control of Buesing’s Long Lake MN and Diamond MO operations.
Foodliner and Buesing are both foodgrade carriers, with their business portfolios including many of the same customers across the Midwest. The acquisition provides synergies and an opportunity for business expansion across the region, according to Foodliner President and CEO Greg McCoy.
“Buesing Bulk brings a natural fit to our organization,” McCoy said. “Their base of operations, the team they have worked to build through the years, approach to the industry, the mix of customers and commodities provides both growth with existing customers and a clear path of new opportunities in the marketplace.”
As part of the agreement, approximately 100 Buesing employees have the opportunity to join the Foodliner staff.
