Groendyke driver killed while delivering fuel at Ft Worth TX c-store

Jonathon Luevano, a driver for Groendyke Transport Inc, was shot to death May 7 while delivering gasoline to a Ft Worth TX convenience store. The shooting occurred around 1:25 am, and Luevano, 29, was found dead in the front seat of his truck.

Groendyke officials issued the following statement: “First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers go out to the loved ones and family members of our driver involved in this morning’s incident. We are shocked and saddened by this tragedy. At this time we can tell you this was a local night shift driver, employed for approximately one year.  This driver has an excellent safety and work record for Groendyke Transport and will be missed. We are doing everything we can to assist the Fort Worth Police Department in their investigation.”

A suspect has been arrested in connection with Luevano’s death. Surveillance video from the c-store reportedly shows a car reportedly driven by the suspect moving toward the tank transport. Five or six gunshots were heard.
