The American Trucking Associations 2008 Management Conference & Exhibition (MC&E) will focus on helping motor carriers prosper in today's bumpy economy.

Scheduled to be held October 4-7 in New Orleans LA, this event will feature an assessment of the economic outlook from top analysts, tips on boosting fleet fuel efficiency, a seminar on the upcoming 2010 engine emissions standards, as well as educational sessions on new technology, driver recruitment, and how to go green profitably.

The event also will be a chance to celebrate the 75th anniversary of ATA, which was founded in Washington DC in 1933 with the merger of the American Highway Freight Association and the Federated Truck Associations of America.

MC&E has nearly 200 exhibitors displaying everything from new trucks and engines to new software and support services.

A highlight of the event will be a performance by country music artist Lee Ann Womack.
