A major Rocky Mountain crude aggregation complex is heading to market, setting the stage for renewed operational activity across the Denver-Julesburg (DJ) Basin.
The complex’s owners recently appointed Fuelled as the exclusive marketing advisor to direct buyer outreach for the Bridger Swan Ranch terminal and Cheyenne Rail Hub in Laramie County, Wyoming. Marketed together, the assets form an integrated crude oil blending, storage, and rail-loading complex serving regional production and the DJ Basin, a 70,000-square-mile oil and natural gas-producing region centered in eastern Colorado and extending into southeastern Wyoming.
“We are pleased to have been entrusted with the marketing of the Bridger Swan Ranch and Cheyenne Rail Hub complex,” Fuelled CEO Raj Singh said in a news release. “This is exactly the kind of large, well-documented infrastructure asset our platform and buyer network are built for.
“It’s a great asset with a lot of high-value equipment.”
Positioned at the intersection of field gathering and midstream takeaway, the complex combines 225,000 barrels of storage capacity across five tanks with direct crude-by-rail access. To handle high-volume offloading traffic, the terminal is equipped with 12 truck LACT (Lease Automatic Custody Transfer) units engineered to support rapid rack throughput and minimize driver turn times.
In addition to its truck-receiving stations, the Bridger Swan Ranch facility includes two sales LACT units, multiple transfer meter skids, a pipeline meter skid, booster pumps, and a dedicated control building. Its rail counterpart, the Cheyenne Rail Hub, operates on a Union Pacific-connected short line. By offering a crude-by-rail alternative to pipeline networks, the complex relies heavily on short-haul transport to bridge the distance between regional wellheads, terminal storage, and railcars.
Fuelled is currently managing cataloging, valuation, and marketing for the package through its online equipment marketplace.
“Fuelled is seeing a growing interest in used equipment given escalating inflation and the desire to accelerate projects,” the company concluded.
